8 hours

With inputs from Prof. Dr. Oliver Brock (TU Berlin/Science of Intelligence, Soft Robotics), Dr. Martin Müller (HU Berlin/Matters of Activity, Cultural History and Theory), and Dr. Léa Perraudin (HU Berlin/Matters of Activity, Media Studies)

The concrete industry, the combustion engine, Google search queries – technologies today are assessed on the basis of their CO₂ emissions. Our technical culture has advanced by utilizing resources in an all too careless and destructive manner. It primarily operates by attempting to control materials and environments – and this on a drastic scale.*

The workshop was guided by the following research questions: What would a world look like in which technology functions in a completely different way? What would happen if we viewed air and its properties as technologies? What new possibilities for cooperation would this open up?
